About Irrigation & Sprinkler Systems
Houston summers do not negotiate. Six weeks without meaningful rain and 100-degree afternoons will take out new sod, young shrubs and whole sections of an established lawn — and the dry corner nobody noticed in April is the brown patch everybody notices in August. An irrigation system is the difference between a landscape you maintain and one you replace.
We design and install new sprinkler systems, and we repair existing ones. That means laying out zones that match how the yard is actually planted, setting head spacing so coverage overlaps instead of leaving gaps, sizing valves and pipe for the pressure you really have, and programming a controller you can understand. On repairs, we find the broken head, the leaking valve, the crushed lateral or the zone that never had enough pressure to begin with, and we fix that.
What we handle
- New in-ground irrigation system design and installation
- Zone layout matched to turf, beds and shade
- Spray heads, rotors and drip for planting beds
- Valves, manifolds and mainline work
- Controller installation, programming and seasonal scheduling
- Repairs — broken heads, leaks, cut lines, bad valves, dry spots
- System checks and tune-ups before the hot months
How an irrigation project runs
- 1
Check what you have
We look at the water source, available pressure and flow, the shape of the yard and what is planted in it. On an existing system we run every zone and watch where the water actually lands.
- 2
Design the zones
Turf and beds get separated, sun and shade get separated, and head spacing is planned so arcs overlap. Getting this right on paper is what stops the dry corners later.
- 3
Install
Lines go in, heads get set at grade so the mower clears them, valves are grouped where they can be serviced, and the controller gets wired and labeled.
- 4
Test, tune and hand over
We run every zone, adjust arcs and nozzles, set a starting schedule for the season, and show you how to run it — including what to change when it gets hot and what to do when it rains.
Why it matters on the Gulf Coast
Even coverage, no brown corners
Most lawn failures are coverage failures. Proper spacing and the right nozzle on the right zone put water where the grass is instead of on the driveway.
Less water, not more
A zoned system that runs the right amount at the right hour uses less water than a hose and a sprinkler left on all afternoon — and it does not forget.
Protects what you just installed
New sod and new plantings are at their most vulnerable in the first month. Irrigation is how that investment survives it.
Repairs that find the cause
A head that keeps breaking in the same spot, or a zone that will not build pressure, is usually telling you something. We chase it down instead of swapping parts.
