Landscaping, Irrigation & Drainage in Houston, TX

South and southwest Houston — bayou-adjacent yards, decades-old drainage and every kind of housing stock there is.

Landscaping, irrigation and drainage in Houston, TX

We work the south and southwest side of Houston, inside and outside the Beltway, where the neighborhoods range from post-war bungalows with big trees to new infill construction on old lots to commercial and multi-family property along the corridors. Almost all of it drains, eventually, toward a bayou.

Houston's drainage reality is well known to anyone who has lived through a tropical system here: the ground is flat, the soil is clay, and the city's bayou network can only move water so fast. On an individual property that shows up as a side yard that never dries, a garage apron that takes water in a hard rain, downspouts dumping against the slab, or a back yard that holds an inch of standing water for days. Those are the jobs we are called for most.

We also do the full landscape and hardscape work — design and installation, sod and beds, irrigation, paver patios and walkways — for homeowners, property managers and commercial sites across this side of the city.

Houston specifics

What we see in Houston yards

  • Older drainage, newer rainfall

A lot of properties are working with grading and drainage that predate the development around them. Adding capacity is usually the fix.

  • Tight lots and access

Infill lots and narrow side yards mean smaller equipment and careful routing — something we plan for in the quote, not on the day.

  • Mature trees downtown-side

Established canopies make for beautiful yards and difficult turf. Shade beds and careful trenching are the usual answer.

  • Commercial and managed property

Parking areas, frontage and common areas need drainage that keeps the site usable and landscaping that keeps it presentable.
